10675NAT Course in Asbestos Awareness
Asbestos containing material (ACM) has been used extensively throughout Australia’s residential and commercial buildings up until December 2003. Exposure to asbestos fibres can have serious health effects.
Course Outcomes
- Name and describe different types of asbestos
- Knowledge of materials manufactured using asbestos
- Identify the locations where asbestos and/or ACM are likely to be found
- Skills to safely assess for the presence of asbestos
- Knowledge of legislation and general duties
- Reporting procedures
Legislation
Work Health and Safety legislation requires those working in the construction industry and those likely to come into contact with ACM to complete this mandatory 4 hour course.
The course can also assist more generally those that own an older house/building or are looking to renovate.

WHSE Consulting are not a registered training organisation. WHSE Consulting have a commercial agreement with AlertForce Pty Limited (RTO Code 91826) who are the registered training organisation who assess and issue the certification for all Nationally Recognised Asbestos courses delivered by WHSE Consulting.

FEE REBATE
If you are working in the construction industry in the ACT you might be eligible to receive the Training Fund Authority rebate of up to $95.
